You know, I don't think it is appropriate for a therapist to ever yell and swear at a patient. It's just outrageous behaviour!! I was just shocked when I read your post. I mean genuinely shocked.
Please do not blame yourself for your therapist failing to meet even the minimum standard of care in the patient/therapist relationship. His behaviour represents a deficiency on his part - not yours.
Also, I think it is very important to meet with your therapist routinely on a stable schedule. I meet with mine every monday at 4:15. It helps to provide some certainty as far as scheduling. You shouldn't be at the mercy of his schedule.
I'm so sorry this happened to you because it really shouldn't have.
I think you should hold your head high. You did absolutely nothing to warrant this kind of treatment - no patient should ever be subjected to it.
Take care and keep up posted, the decision from now on is yours.
