Hi Orchid,

I've tried meditation, and had high hopes for it. I've used the CD's that induce a meditative state. Maybe it's discussed more on the alternative boards, I don't know, I haven't checked. The meditaion CD's made me very depressed, but the ones for creativity from the Monroe Institute are awesome, I love them. I guess it just depends on the person. I guess prayer and meditation are alike. I can pray, but can't clear my mind to meditate on my own, that's why I used the CD's that induce various brain waves.

I think I'm weird in that way though, the SSRI's depress me, so my brain must be wired strangely. I've also tried alternatives like herbs, homeopathy, vitamins, trigger point massage, and I went to an alt. practioner. I was really hoping for something other than medication and therapy, but so far it seems to be the best thing for me. Expensive as all get out, but works for me. Maybe one day I'll be able to stop, and I'll be thrilled to be able to, but for now......
