There have been many times where I just cannot make eye contact with her, and like you said, that in itself is soothing. So those times when I couldn't make the slightest eye contact, I leave feeling like I hadn't seen her.... a horrible feeling! And I would always either call or tell her the following week that I felt like I didn't actually "see" her. In turn, it ends up making me feel like I missed a week.
So I do understand why you made the call, really.
