Bringing PB into therapy

Posted by Toph on December 21, 2004, at 19:53:14

Maybe you guys have discussed this before, but what do your therapists think of Psyco-Babble? Mine always starts a session by asking how I'm doing physically and psychologically, mainly asking if I'm having any side effects of my meds or any symptoms of my illness. I mentioned that I participate lately on PB and that it's made me a little hypo manic. I sensed that he was a little worried about a pychologically focused website so I suggested that he check it out for himself. I even offered to tell him my name because I don't think I hide anything about myself to him. Then, in session, I got the paranoid thought that what if he registered and started posting to me knowing all that he knows about me? He was surprised by this sudden lack of trust and assured me by saying that he was only interested in hearing the things I had to say in therapy.
