>>> Are you the same pedr I used to know through these boards??!! I'm sure thats the name you used here!!
- yep! How you doing Nikki? Long time no "speak" =0)

>>> Anyway.. alcohol always has that effect on me.. 2 days later, and wham, my mood hits rock bottom.. tis why I very very rarely drink anymore (maybe the odd drink, but never drunk these days!)
- I wonder why it happens 2 days later... Perhaps it's the fact that it's Monday/Tuesday and we depress ourselves because you're up early and it's miserable outside or something? I dunno. Perhaps alcohol's depressant effect always kicks in _after_ the hangover but most people don't feel it that much as they're not depressed?

>>> And then theres the whole thing of beating myself self up over "was my behaviour appropriate, did I act stupid, was I too loud, did I annoy anyone" etc etc.
- That's one cognition I manage _not_ to do =0) Main gotchas for me the morning after are ones where I depress myself because I know that alcohol is a depressant (and thus I convince myself I've been a git for drinking some) - doh.

>>> No suggestions on how to overcome it I'm afraid.. but I'd be interested in others replies.. maybe dosing up on vitimins and drinking a ton of water or something will help!
- indeed. I took it easier this weekend and will monitor my mood over the forthcoming days. Last week I had a lot of tough "life" stuff to get through so that probably didn't help much either.

Anyway, good to hear from you,
pk
