When the progesterone is given in suppository, creams or injections it absorbs more readily into the bloodstream and is delivered to the cells that require it.
FYI progesterone skin creams are recommended for some side effects of peri and menopause, but you have to be careful the company has put enough in it, as these are considered cosmetics (!) and not regulated by content by FDA like a medicine is.
There are good places to check to be sure you are getting what you want...
