Dialectical Behavioral Therapy-- the approach builds on some of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, and adds a somewhat eastern, meditation aspect, and emphasizes emotional regulation and self-soothing.

Martha Linehan is the originator of the idea, and was primarily using it for people diagnosed with (so-called) Borderline Personality Disorder. She used it in individual therapy, but there are often groups that use it as a stategy.

It's is a useful way to think about all sorts of problems. The Workbook is mostly to help therapists as they run groups. Has a lot of her practical suggestions and exercises.
