Here is what I've learned so far:

There are 3 states of mind
1. Reasonable mind
2. Emotion mind
3. Wise mind

There are 3 "what" skills and 3 "how" skills

"What" Skills
1. Observing
2. Describing
3. Participating

"How" Skills
1. Taking a nonjudgmental stance
2. Focusing on one thing in the moment
3. Being effective

Now let's see if I understand this...

Reasonable mind is logical and rational. Emotion mind can be irrational and depends on emotions. Wise mind is the integration of reasonable mind and emotion mind.

There's a practice exercise that has participants go into themselves and experience wise mind.

I don't get it. :-( How do I experience wise mind? What do I think to experience it? I can't do it! What am I supposed to be thinking when I follow my breath? I can't do this!

Wise mind is like intuition. Is it just knowing something? How do I get to that part of myself that just knows? I don't get it. What am I supposed to be thinking? How do I do this? I don't get it!
