I'm just curious, why do you think he might be charging you more than his other clients? Did something happen to make you think that, or is it just a fear? In any case I agree that you might feel better if you brought it up.
The whole fee thing sticks in my craw too. I thought I had a different arrangement with my therapist than I do, and it turns out I owe him money for sessions I thought he was giving to me at a lower rate. And he does seem intense about getting his money which turns me off. Not that he shouldn't be paid, but I'd like to feel like I actually matter as well.
