Sienna, I see that now you have gotten some responses. Perhaps some people know this as "day treatment" rather than "intensive outpatient".

I have not had day treatment, but it was discussed as a possibility if I needed more structure than what my therapist could offer, when I was going through a very bad episode a few years ago.

I also have a friend and one relative who have been to day treatment after hospital, and found it helpful. I think it was a combo of therapy and education and intensive support, to help build skills and plan how to have ongoing support and positive living for future.
