> I'm mulling over making a healthy change in my diet. I need to lose about 40 pounds, but most of all I would like to be more in control. I have this diet book by Dr. Dean Ornish that I like but I can't quite bring my self to cut out all meat and added fats. Maybe it's too extreme. What works for you or what changes are you thinking about?
Have you looked into the South Beach diet? It seems like it would be easier to follow. Ornish's program is really difficult to stay on. Also, I don't like that he uses simple carbs like white bread and pasta rather than whole grains. I'm sure you'd lose weight on it and lower your cholesterol though.
