Have you looked into the South Beach diet? It seems like it would be easier to follow. Ornish's program is really difficult to stay on. Also, I don't like that he uses simple carbs like white bread and pasta rather than whole grains. I'm sure you'd lose weight on it and lower your cholesterol though.
