Hi Cass,
I had all of mine removed, but I don't think I had it done by a very qualified dentist. One tooth/gum became abcessed, and the mercury poison got into my system...I eventually had to have that tooth pulled, I couldn't stand the pain. I had the rubber dams, but funny enough, the dentist put on goggles, respirator mask thingy, net on her hair, etc., and NOTHING on my eyes, nose, etc. Just the rubber dam over my mouth. I felt nausea and weakness for a full 6 months after this (I had 2 teeth done).
I'm not trying to discourage you from doing it! Just make sure your dentist knows what he/she is doing!!
P.S. I haven't really noticed any great increase in health since having the mercury taken out, but maybe that's because of my bad experience?
