I've noticed that even 500mg of vitamin C taken at bedtime causes me to have insomnia. I can take vitamin C early on in the day, and my sleep architecture seems fine, but not at bedtime. The only vitamins that help me with sleep are the following:
750mg Niacin sustained-release
400IU natural vitamin E
1/4 of a 3mg melatonin tablet
50-75mg vitamin B6 (P5P form)
25mg zinc gluconate
200mcg selenium yeastIf I don't take All of these together, I have trouble sleeping. All of these vitamins are recommended for bipolars and schizophrenics, and they have worked for my sleep problems ever since I started taking them.
