Do you think all receptors return to normal over time? I certainly hope so as I'm far from 100% at the moment and it would be nice to think I could return to an SSRI at some point.

Anxiety would be one such side effect.Yeah, isn't there evidence/a theory that desensitisation of the 5HT receptors is part of the antidepressant effect, which is why it takes a few weeks for SSRI's to kick in properly?
And IIRC some speculate that overly-sensitive 5HT receptors might be the underlying cause of some depressions.
