Hey, you know, atypical depression is actually the most common form of depression.
You say they're all (SSRIs) pretty effective ... how is this defensible in the face of the STAR*D study, for instance?
I'm not trying to be disruptive ... my opinion is OTOH that Nardil may or may not be helpful for Phillipa.
I do know that she seems to respond well to some sort of GABAergic action, and her longest maintenance periods have been on some form of low-dose valium, these periods being disrupted by alterations in the medication schedule.
Nardil seems to offer a very long-term and effective instance of GABA-related activity, when it works.
I'm not her doctor, it's true.
What I do think is that the rather long period of incapacitation that comes to most people first trying Nardil may be difficult for her to get through.
