Thanks saw internist today who is the internist for my surgeon and a pdoc I saw here. He feels the anesthesia is still in my body as was told to me that it lasts for months in fatty tissue. Hence a lot of the very strange things I've noticed like the dry peeling lips that no chap stick or vaseline will fix. Also since he is in the same system as the endo he was able to use his computer and type in name etc. and obtain latest results from thyroid testing which showed T4 was very high but TSH was within normal. So call to endo and dose of synthroid is lower. So since it takes about six weeks to change the level I will continue with the anxiety. And also internist checked motrin and luvox and found they were incompatable so extra strengh tylenol now for the back pain and said I definitely needed a massage as back muscles are all knotted. As for the above thread that so many chose to join. And also after going on thyroid forums found my symtoms are the same as others. Also wanted to add that you're right about childhood and the brain and how you respond to life events as mine was horrible raised myself mother sick and died. Now when I had my kids said only positive reenforcement would be given. Hence when Son lost eyesight he spent two years on and off in hospitals and got him in blind rehab and today has a four year degree in social work summa cum laude. And they tried so hard to get him to take an ad and he refused. Finally did for the PTSD take zoloft at 200mg. Only for a few months as didn't require it. Does occasionally take lmg of ativan. But is very busy working for the Government that he is happy and has a family and two kids. Difference was that I gave him love and unconditional love. Always there for him. And I'm working through the issues of grief for a lost childhood and lost first marriage, and aging. Now no med can cure sadness as it is a thought process. So thanks for the above. I'm going to live my life in the way my docs and family see me in real life. Love Phillipa
