I'm in a big battle with the weight gain myself.Anyway...clomipramine(Anafranil) is a tricyclic with both antidepressant and antiobsessional properties. It acts on norepinephrine and serotonin systems, and may have sedative effect.
I've tried it in the past, and I hated because of the sedation.
The alternatives to Anafranil are Prozac, Zoloft and Luvox.
Stay away from Paxil, as it causes weight gain.
