*I think his appetite will continue to improve. My problem is that I'm a junk-food junkie and don't eat the right foods. Too many fats and starches. So I remain fat and sassy... :)

That's great to hear regarding the appetite because he is painfully thin. I've asked him a few years back about his lack of eating and he said he was scared he would get overweight. I laughed that's great my father has anorexia and schizophrenia. We both had a good laugh! But like I said before the zyprexa is making it easier for him to eat. Before he was only to eat a few bites of a sandwich and then his stomach would revolt. I wish he would have told us. Now he is able to eat without that sensation.

Regarding snacks try adding a side-dish of say baby carrots, then with time increase the size of the side-dish until it becomes the snack. One time I was able to quit smoking by not carrying any money with me. I bought only the small pack of cigs and then with time I was able to cut back. Technology caught up with me though and then we got interac. : (

>I live really close to the San Francisco Bay so humidity is never much of a factor.

Have you ever swam in the ocean or rode on those trains that we see on the rice-a-roni commercials? As a teenager I had a dream of buying a houseboat and living on a wharf in San Diego. Are you close to there. The most southerly I've ever gotten is Iowa.

> Yeah, it was me with the advice for Tina. She's been a buddy of mine for a long time and has had trouble getting decent medical care ever since I've known her. I really wish there was something I could do to help her out.

From her description, I figure her gp is an old fuddy-duddy with stereotypical views of women. Once I changed gps, to a younger new one I found him more helpful, since he's not scared to discuss mental health issues.
