Marie,
It took over a dozen shrinks (and over a year of therapy with a psychologist) before I found a shrink (who does meds and therapy) that has allowed me to get involved in a therapeutic relationship again. And it is far from perfect, just this week some baggage emerged which I did not recognize but he with his infinite patience did. As far as my childhood, I am no where close to working on that- we're still working on finding healthy ways to cope when I am triggered. (And I cut as recently as 2 days ago, so that's been a real tough one) I read your post to Shelli, and respect your need to pull back, that happens a lot to me here. You think you have everything under control, or very well repressed then bam, you find that's not quite the case. Thank you for your kind thoughts and I wish you the same. We're all struggling here, but that shows our strength doesn't it? Take care, judy
