The loss of shame over the issue led to a really funny session Friday. I told him my weight, and laughed that I really *must* trust him, and he agreed that not many clients tell their therapists, particularly their male therapists, their weight. I actually disagree with that a bit. I think it's easier to tell a male therapist. Yet I hadn't told him in all this time.

And we went over my features pretty thoroughly, comparing them to my mother's one by one. He even checked to see what my eye color was, which I totally understand because it took me nearly ten years to figure out his eyes were really blue rather than the brown I was positive I saw.

It was fun, and light, and nothing like I'd ever think a session about body image could be.
