Hi Milly - I was wondering if you have thought about tapre recordong your last session.... so that way you can replay it over and over as many times as and when you want to. That way you could go for a drive down to devon and then stich your tape on and listen to it on a wee sony walkman with ear phones.. if you want to .
I hope this helps, I dont know if your T is comforatablre with taping but I THINK ALL/most GOOD T'S ARE. tHAT WAY YOU WONT HAVE TO STAY SUSPENDED IN TIME TO HOLD ONTO EVERYTHING THAT WAS SAID, COS YOU'LL HAVE IT ON TAPE.
I think most clinics on nhs aswell as private will have access to an audio tape recorder, and just to be sure you could go into argos on Monday (tomoro) and buy one. I think argos sell them for around 30 quid, i know this because i bought one last year and frequently use it for the exact same purpose, to record my sessions, so i dont hav to feel suspened in mid air as I try to recall everything I said and she said etc.
It's an invaluable purchase to me nad my life... it will not be wasted either as you could always use it with your next therapist. I'm guessing here, but if you are upset about leaving the therapist you are leaving on Tuesday, no doubt you will go over how you feel and hopefully work it out with your next one. So the tape of discussions about the one you're being forced to leave will also be a possible source of comfort for you.
Is this a help to you or am I not making any sense? as I know what works for me wont necessarily work for the next peerson in this case you, but it's my intention to offer you some useful advice...
Take care happywildflower
