I think that whenever something is bothering you with your therapist, you should mention it. Truthfulness should always be the default. And resentment might stand in the way of moving forward if you say something.

And it might lead to a productive discussion, not only of whether or not he made a mistake, but of how you feel about things like looks and compliments in general.
