Sad Mom,
I feel for you. Fortunately my husband is not abusive. But I'm not sure if the diagnosis of Bi-polar is correct or not. I do know that delusionals do not recognize that they are living in an alternate reality and would not admit to being ill or needing meds.
You did right to leave this man. You should take measures to make sure he could not find you when he gets out of Jail. I would.
