DUCT TAPE!!!
It's essential for child-rearing, as I'm sure you know, but it works well for husbands, too. Especially since the Duck Tape brand has come out with such lovely PINK DUCT TAPE! If your husband is anything like mine, well, you won't even have to use it...
(Seriously, though, I feel your pain. After my suicide attempt in 2003, my husband turned to me for help processing his upset over that -- and continued to turn to me to talk out all that he was feeling about his life, his fears for me, the problems with the Agency From Hell, etc. NOT what the doctor ordered, as you can imagine! I finally convinced him to see a therapist himself... Took a lot, including a couple of meltdowns on my part.)
