I asked my pdoc if he would be willing to be part of a control sample and allow himself to submit to ECT. Of course he said no, and of course he said he would do it if he were depressed. Easy to say. I want to know what experiences others have had. And, I already planned to talk to other psychiatrists re ECT including the person who does ECT's at the University of Chicago, Dr. Dinwiddie. Please don't think we are all a bunch of naive dummies who can't figure out how to handle things.
