Would you mind saying what generic maker of Lamictal you are taking? I know the FDA insists the bioavailability of the generics are the same but I've tried a number of different generics and there are big differences.
I've been on Lamictal for 10yrs (started w the brand sample kit). The generic brans that seems to be best for me is Teva (Walgreens in the us tends to stock it by default). Zydus (CVS by me) was ineffective and I had different side effects. I've read a lot of complaints elsewhere. Same with "North Star".
Are you taking the same generic as last time when it worked and you didn't have dry mouth? If not maybe consider filling your next prescription at a different pharmacy or request they order you a different brand if possible.
I don't really have any issues w dry mouth but everyone different.
