I dont think it would be. Seroquel is the least evil to me and i have tried many others. And frankly, i am scared sh*tl*ss to try anything new because of the experiences i have made on the meds i already tried. It tells me that it is no good to try psychiatric drugs. I dont even dare to try the Chlorprothixene i have it at home. Its probably going in the trash. Tardive Dyskinesia risk is lower with Seroquel than with others. Obsessive compulsive symptoms are allegedly less than with Zyprexa. Weight gain can be managed although i would love to lose another 10 pounds. But thats just cosmetic, not medical.
It would probably be a drastic change for my brain though to go on high dose Seroquel instead of the Seroquel/Zyprexa combo. I think want to avoid that.

> Have you tried Saphris (asenapine) yet? It seems to be good for schizophrenia or schizoaffective disorder, especially when treating paranoia. It also acts as a strong antidepressant for some people. It is less likely than most other atypical neuroleptic antipsychotics to produce weight gain.

I am not willing to try anything except lower dosages of the drugs i already take. I think its a mistake that i tried medication in the first place. The meds i take now are a familiar problem. I know what to expect and i feel halfway safe which i wouldnt if i got onto a new drug. My first not self given diagnosis was Phenelzine induced psychosis. So...

I realize you guys are trying to support people but i think the advice is given too lightly. I have looked into the topic deeply enough to have a clue.
