yea oxycarbazepine is a improved version of tegretol, i know someone who takes trileptal they've told me it makes them feel a bit more settled, but it's not really a antidepressant, maybe it will have some properties, but mostly triletal is for reducing firing in the brain, stablization of nuerotransmitters and voltage in the brain
lamotragine does help depression, it's hard to notice lamotragine....but i've noticed my mood is a bit settled and not wacky and up and down.....i've noticed some of my depression went away on it.....
the standard dose of trileptal is 300mg
not a genius but understand pain
