Magnesium + Anxiety + Mood

Posted by bxbx19 on January 28, 2015, at 9:13:33

I've been on klonopin for a long time, and it helps with my anxiety. Depression is nothing too bad but I do find my mood goes down a bit from time to time.

Recently I've looked into vitamins and minerals affecting these things, and have gone away from my multi-vitamin, reading Selenium and some other ingredients can add to these problems.

I also read magnesium, taurate being the best, can really help. I've started taking it in the morning and I really think it's doing something in a good way. It also has done wonders for my atrial fibrillation, but that's another story.

I'm wondering if anybody has tried this and/or other supplements? Also, specifically with the magnesium, I take it first thing in the AM with my klonopin, and I've noticed my mood goes down a bit and anxiety goes up in early afternoon. I do take a second dose of klonopin in the PM, but not until dinner. Should I be splitting up my magnesium and take some in the afternoon? Not sure what the half-life on this is.

Thanks everyone.
