No, well at least not with Zyprexa. Zyprexa and to a lesser extent Seroquel can both lead to increased appetite and sedation (ie. reduced activity levels). Naturally, this can cause weight gain. However, Zyprexa in particular seems to produce direct metabolic effects increasing the risk of diabetes. In some cases, diabetes has been induced very rapidly, well before significant weight gain occurred.
