SSRI's (not just paxil) are suggested first for anxiety because they work and are non addictive.

Best way to start is take half a dose for the first week, then a full dose

(half a dose would be 10mg per day of Paxil, 25mg of Zoloft)

If SSRI's dpnt work, I think that Remeron is a logical next step
