Since reading about fibromyalgia, there
seems to be a consensus that as a population, these patients are very med-sensitive across the board. (There is no consensus regarding what fibromyalgia actually is, however.) Then there are those who present with depression years before fibromyalgia. Sigh.Which doesn't disprove your guess. Some people theorize that depression (somatic) was afoot before fibromyalgia. I do know some folks w/ it who had some nice, undepressed lives before it.
Then, I think it's too easy an equation to say the more severe the illness, the more
protracted the withdrawal.(I would, unfortunately, be a fine example if your first guess was correct :-/ .)
