...... but if you start ropinirole at a very low dose and titrate up very slowly, it's fine for most people. Ropinirole acts very quickly and if you're only going to use it for short term relief I cant see why it would be a problem, as you would be on a very low dose. It also helps you sleep too. I had to stop it because I couldn't get past 2mg and my doc wanted me at 4mg. I started at either 0.25mg or 0.5mg and felt great the next day. I haven't tried mirapex, but requip works lightning fast.
