Thank you for your response. I am sorry that you have to relace benzos with codeine, but I, too, have been in a similar situration with vicodin I sought it out like a blood hound.
I KNOW my doc os going to try gabitril. I also guess it will be a waste of time and money.
I have tried nardil. It was good but the side effects were not. I had to go to 90 mgs before I saw any real relief, so I guess I have to think about that...can I tolerate sleeping all afternoon, not sleeping all night, anad gaining anymore weight.
I just wondered if I had any other options. Sigh.
Thanks for your response, and good luck wiht the codeine.

I think you're probably right about developing tolerance to Lyrica over time - any drug that can compensate for another is likely to be beset by similar problems. I don't know much about Gabitril but what I have read has been mostly negative - seems to cause a lot of impairment for whatever relief it brings, you might as well try Zyprexa or something of that ilk. Nardil is GABAergic and helpful in anxiety states, so that's something to consider if you haven't taken it already.

Obviously codeine too is addictive (if not more so) and I've developed tolerance to it, so I'm going to try and taper off. I suppose the best thing in the light of all this med tolerance/poop-out lark is some sort of therapy to develop better skills in dealing with anxiety.
