resistant to sonata and rozerem for sleep

Posted by LlurpsieNoodle on June 2, 2007, at 17:01:11

hi all,
I have been Rx 2 different meds for sleeping.

The rozerem (the one advertised with abe lincoln and the beaver) was supposed to help me sleep through the night. didn't work. when i need it most, i still wake up early

the sonata was supposed to help me fall asleep. Nothing!

I tend to go through phases of both types of insomnia depending on whether I'm depressed (early waking) or anxious (trouble falling asleep). The worst is when I'm depressed AND anxious.

What does seem to help is taking .5 mg klonopin at bedtime. that seems to quiet the thoughts.

What's the point of this post? Well- your honest opinion of whether klonopin is a good long term solution to sleeping woes. I don't want to get addicted or habituated to this one. I'd prefer to take it prn, as I do now, but I seem to be taking one every night and reaping the benefits of anti anxiety during the day.

I guess this post still has no point. a blunt post, so to speak.
