I know exactly what you are saying, and I feel the same way. Even a lot of people here who think they are not addicted to their medications probably havn't ever actually tried coming off of them.
Oh sure, the drug companies try to phrase the words so that they sound a little less harsh. Its not withdrawl, its "discontinuation syndrome". Thats B.S. in my opinion. Psychiatry is always trying to cover themselves. Its just one lie to cover up the last.
It wasn't too long ago when cocaine was sold for nervous depression. So, I personally don't think there is a whole lot to be said for the drugs we have now. Its a buisness now, and you're the coustomer. If patients knew they could make a better recovery on St. Johns't Wort, and vigourous exercise (or something) then psychiatrists would be out of buisness.
Thats why your drug is hard to find. Not because it doesn't work, or that it doesn't help people get better, but because its no longer as profitable. We're constantly trying to be upsized.
So now we're moving onto "tripple uptake inhibitors". Hows that any different from cocaine ?
But, I suppose its acceptable to have casualties.
