As for me, I've been on quite a few of the mood stabilizers, pretty much all of the ones that don't cause wt gain. (Lamictal, Trileptal, even Lithium) I just this week had to stop Zonegran. That's an evil one, I tell ya. I am so over these mood stabilizers.
I had gastric bypass surgery this past year and my BP2 symptoms went thru the roof. My Mom and husband believe this is due to the enforced malnourishment and now, so do I. That is why I am looking into supplements for myself instead of drugs. I am so tired of being sick all the time from the side effects.
The only med I am going to stick with for a while is Geodon, that I take at night. REally helps with my sleep but I still have some problems with racing thoughts and paranoia from time to time. (I am a rapid recycler.)
