Hi I wanted to respond. My son has taken depakote (current) topamax (current) and in the past trileptal. He is diagnosed bp (nos) but i think he ultra cycles through the day!
He did ok on trileptal combined with paxil, but everyone was beating the crap out of him and he would just sit there and let people beat him up.
The depakote has been somewhat helpful, but he says it hasnt. Topamax I dont think his dosage is high enough to get mood stabilization this was added for weight gain really. I think he did best on atypical antipsychotic, specifically zyprexa, although he is now taking abilify, but the ocd seems to be coming out in full force on the abilify.

Hi, I am new to this forum. My concern is about being BP2 and not being able to tolerate any of the mood stabilizers. I have to stop every one of them due to intolerable side effects.
