Hi Karen,

I feel like, you name it, I've been on it. I've been on Lithium, Trileptal, Verapamil, Zonegran, Lamictal, Topamax and others I cannot even recall. (I refuse to take the "weight gainers".) I am sooo over this. The only one I'd ever give another try to is Keppra but for now, I am going natural. I am determined. There is so much research out there to support the natural approach. All the mood stabilizers make me very ill with side effects.

I am on Geodon and so far, tolerating that fairly well but I still have racing thoughts and paranoia from time to time. (I am a rapid recycle with occasional mixed states.)

My body is worn to a frazzle with drugs. I need a break and something more healthful.

Thanks for your post. (:

> Just curious, what all have you tried? My doctor has told me that abilify ( a newer atypical antipsychotic) has mood stabilizing abilities. It is especuially usefull for preventing manic episodes. It also has very low side effects. I am currently taking it and have had no side effects from it. Also, have you tried Topamax? Are you BPI or BPII or what?? Just curious to see which direction to point you in.. Karen
