I think it is generally really good advice to avoid APs unless one absolutely has to take them. That said much smaller dosages than those used to treat schizophrenia might help with other conditions. The absolutely crucial point is one takes only small doses otherwise apathy and movement problems result. Seven years on antidepressants is a pretty fair antidepressant trial period.
