I post this message for the benefit of others in the Princeton area. Since I last posted, I left Dr. Apter and have been with Dr. Temple for several months. Oh my God, what a diference! She is every bit as knowledgeable as Dr. Apter, but compassionate, understanding, and quite frankly, interested in solving my problems. I only wish I found her sooner as she is everything I have hoped for in a psydoc.
I would not recommend Dr. Apter to anyone! If for no other reason he charges for 15 minutes what Dr. Temple charges for 45! During one of my appointments he even took a phone call right in fron of me!!! The call wasn't an emergency and he charged me for the lost time! Dr. Apter may be a wonderful researcher, but he's a horrible psydoc in my opinion.
