there's a lot of regulars on the med board
Are we doing a list for everyone? some people just tend to post there, we also have some real regulars on the writing board, all over I guess :-)

> Are we doing a list for everyone? some people just tend to post there, we also have some real regulars on the writing board, all over I guess :-)Hi sleepy,
Glad to hear you doing ok.
I was just rather selfishly thinking of this board really, as this is the one I stick to primarily. There are only so many hours in a day! I guess its just depends on whether any particular individual on any given board has the time or interest in trying to list for that board.
I think this whole thing on my part, stems from the fact that I would hate to have anyone feel we don't care, when in fact we do, but its just so hard to keep track of so many, and we have our non internet lives as well. My wee brain will only hold so much info. And not for very long at that!
I was always the quiet(well except when I was causing trouble!) I was often...the quiet kid that noone noticed, especially at home. So thats why I feel that way I suppose.
Take care Sleeygirl.

I felt inspired to speak up! I haven't posted for a month or so and was posting on a few boards then... but I still lurk here and read new posts almost everyday... I get a lot from it and would love to contribute more, just need to get over my damn shyness!

I promise I don't mean this against anyone here, but I've always wondered why I am never noticed, not only online, but IRL too.
In fact, a few times I have wanted to post about this, but I don't want it to sound like I am accusing people of forgetting me or something. I'm seriously wondering what is it about me that causes me to be so unnoticable. Even on another message board I used to post on. I was always well liked while I was there, but when I step away, it always goes unnoticed. Yet some other people are gone for a day and everyone posts to ask where they are. I've always wondered what do they have that I don't... or what is it about me. Maybe because I'm shy? I dunno... I feel like I really don't fit in anywhere.

> Luv x*Well I'm glad you felt inspired to speak up. Everyone has something to share, and as you may have noticed there's lots of people out there, with lots of different life experiences, and lots of different personalities etc. So you don't need to be scared. If noone answers your thread there can be so many reasons why. Sometimes this board just seems to take a rest, everybody at once! Other times its busy. Sometimes you may click woth someone and another time not. You need to try not to take it personally. We care, theres just lots of us.
You're contributions help others. So do it for others if not yourself. I think the best thing is to be very honest and then people respond the best. No such thing as a dumb thing to say or a dumb question.
I would love to hear more about luvdove!
Post away!

I don't fit in anywhere either. Nowhere. My whole life. I didn't even fit in with my own family. But that is changing. I now sometimes fit in for a time, but then I get freaked and retreat. I am so not used to fitting in. Its weird.
What I have discovered is that the ones that fit in, just don't give up. They know (as you do) that they come across fine. They just keep going. They don't shrivel up and retreat like me. LGL, I'm sure you have lots to offer, everyone does. You just gonna have to put it out there, and if noone responds, rephrase it and try again. If that don't get much action, try something else!
What you are saying is EXACTLY why I started this thread cuz I SO wish I could remember everyone cuz they all special people out there. Every one is a treasure that I would hate to see inadvertently hurt. But now I'm starting to see the logistics of it all
I'm starting to think that we all just gonna ahve to take it upon our ownselves that if we wanna be noticed, we just gonna have to MAKE IT SO. By posting just like you have done, and luvdove has done and saying HEY, I'm here......etc.
Glad you posted, nice to meet you, hope to hear more!

Thanks Muffled!! You just made my day. :D
I'm here, I'm here!!
Actually though, I have backed away from posting a bit. Mainly because I find it overwhelming at times. Talking about my therapist and hearing about others, while I have found it so incredibly helpful, it also seems to trigger me into thinking about her more. I hate to use the word, obsessing. I always struggle with trying to see if it is better to keep her in my mind between sessions, or try to push her out. It's actually painful to keep her there, so I do try to push her out, therefore if I post or read here too much then I can't stop thinking about her... and for me, I'm just not sure it's a good thing. kwim? Then, every now and again I will have a question or want feedback on something, but I hesitate to write since I'm not really a regular.
One thing I do want to add is, my email is always open to anyone. Sometimes I do better one on one without feeling overwhelmed with so many posts and responses.
I'm glad you started this thread. :)

Nor should you feel pressured to post. Just post when you feel you want to. Otherwise they'll come across kinda fake like. Not real. The only exception is its nice when people will pop in a short post just to say they ok. And thats a kind thing to do.

Never hesitate to post (unless you think you'll get a pbc!!!Gack!!). Its boggles my mind how much sometimes the most innocuous post will just take on a life of its own sometimes. Other times, not. Oh well. But it helps others to not feel so alone.

I like to post so I can get the most possible input, or not! as the case may be. I always tick the thing that notifys me of follow ups to threads that interest me. Then if I'm feeling overwhelmed I just stick to those threads and do only a quick scan of the rest.

So nice to be remembered. I can't post often, because I can only babble when I'm at work, and I'm very very busy at work. But I read almost every day, and all of you are very dear to me.
I'm doing very well. The baby is delightful, and work is fine, and I'm not in therapy at all for the first time in over 3 years. That still feels shaky and I miss my Ts lots, but I'm proud of myself for coping ok.
I still consider myself part of babble, so thanks for listing me.

Yeah it is cool. I'm into God too. But you can't talk about it on this board cuz not everyone is into Him. He has helped me so much, He's why I still here today. I'm glad your being less shy. You weren't shy about Denebs picture!!!!Haaaaaaaaaaaaaa!LOL!!!I think your posting name is perfect. Its so delightful to see your posts. You seem like lots of fun. You go girl!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Everyone,
Thanks for remembering me. I do read often and care about you all very much.
I have had so many trials and setbacks with therapy that they have seemed too overwhelming to write about. I tend to go very, very silent when times are hard and I want to give up.
Oh, let's get me a little cheese to go with my whine!
This is a wonderful place. I am grateful to Daisy for checking in on me from time to time -- it's so nice to be cared about even in abstencia.
Happy Thanksgiving to all of you!

p.s. i wonder why you go unnoticed, too. maybe it's not as unnoticed as you think, but you're right, some people's absence gets lots of attention and others' doesn't. however, it's easy to overestimate the lack of attention one is getting. not sure if this is making sense.

(((Crushed)))
I think sometimes there is a lot of activity "off line" - so some people know if others are having a hard time. This sort of sets up the people who then get called out to "on line" again.
I had a situation where I actually emailed and asked a person if they didn't like me since they never seem to respond to my threads. I felt so stupid and high schoolish but I just HAD to know if I had offended this person. Turns out I had it all wrong, my assumptions were so off base and she was very sweet about my egocentric behavior. I'm admitting this only to help you know that we've all felt invisible at one time or another.
You aren't invisible to me, neither is LGL. I sometimes think I have nothing to add or don't know how to help, but I always care. Maybe I should make a point of typing just that.
All that said, I think these kinds of threads are dangerous for exactly the reasons you and lgl pointed out.
