Just started out of the blue, what is this? I wake up in the middle of the night dehydrated, so thristy I could chug a gallon of water, and sweating, that my pjs are damp. It is unrelated to medication and I am not at menopausal age...any thoughts as to whats happening? Other than my room is too hot, I questioned this but I can't go to sleep without a blanket because Im too cool, so therefore the room can't be too hot...could it?
Is this unhealthy?

Menopause is a funny thing. It can start at all ages. If this is definitely not the case more blankets cool room. Fondly, Phillipa

None, this is really puzzling. How young can you be to go through menopause? Anyone know?

I haven't, but I will! I don't even know what FSH levels are.

FSH is follicle stimulating hormone. This indicates if you are peri or menopausal . If I remember correctly above 50 indicates going through menopause. You may then need [do not use synthetic] hormones. You can get bioidentical creams from a formulary pharmacist. Fondly, Phillipa

Hi. Do you have night sweats every night or just during certain times of the month? Sometimes I get them in the week or so before my period.
Menopause can occur during the thirties, but it's uncommon. If the night sweats continue to be a problem, I think you should discuss it with your gynecologist or an endocrinologist. They can test your hormone levels (estradiol, FSH, etc.). It's best to test FSH at the beginning of the cycle, around the second, third or fourth day, I believe.
Have you made any dietary changes? I wonder whether some foods might make you more or less prone to night sweats.

Its not every night but I cant find a relationship between the time of the month, they did just start maybe...2 months ago. I have had a handful of nights wher eI wake up really sweating (clammy) and then a few times, like last night where I woke up in the morning with the bottom part of my legs feeling really hot verging on being sweaty (how weird?) So this is not an everynight thing but when it first happened I was like..what? But I am coming up to that time of the month, but why now? Its weird... I thought because it was winter now and I have my heat on and I have a lot of blankets on my bed, but I go to sleep feeling like I need all the blankets.

Get a little calendar and make note of when you have them, and also make a note of anything that might possibly affect them, such as medicines, medicine withdrawal, vitamins and other supplements, foods that aren't in your usual diet, etc. After a few months, check to see whether you can see a pattern. For example, as I mentioned, I get them in the week or so before my period. And although I haven't gotten them mid-cycle yet, I often feel worse mid-cycle than I do when I'm premenstrual.
You said that you aren't on any medicines now. Have you recently withdrawn from any medicines, such as antidepressants? Sometimes medication withdrawal can cause symptoms for weeks or months.
I hope you start sleeping better very soon.
