booze and writing

Posted by cockeyed on September 23, 2005, at 0:03:16

This is perhaps not worth consideration. This is a WRITING board. Now I know that writing involves review and revision. But I'm either lazy or embarrased...I don't like reading what I've written. Correcting, emending, etc., okay.
But reading the stuff that comes from the fingers can be...off-putting? And the format of typing is a problem. I've got stone-fingers syndrome and it bugs me to have to go back and redact, or whatever. Sometimes I'm conscientious and try to consider the reader, but most of the time I'm chasing the flight of geese that I consider ideas.
Do people care about spelling or typos, well who knows? On a printed page they seem to, but on the net it seems anything goes. Maybe meaning as if there were a legal document involved. But I doubt it.
Still old habits, and courtesy would de-mand that I'd write clearly...and, well, it just hit me who gives a damn. I'm my own universe, that's what I am. I've almost got it down right...but does it matter. Does anybody give a damn about typos and just plain laziness.
Is this board for reading or for one to just make a mess? cockeyed.
