Losing my mind at work

Posted by Wildflower on August 6, 2006, at 20:22:32

Things at work are very, very slow for me. I like it when I'm extremely busy and the day flies by. I've asked numerous times for extra assignments, busy work, etc. but there is nothing to do -- or no one wants to give up any of their responsibilities.

Each day, I appear at work, get my assignments done and then sit there reading the news online for hours on end. Without anything to do, I'm left alone with my thoughts of how bad my life is starting to become again. It could be the depression talking but I just can't bare to sit there at work much longer and my contract isn't up for another two months so I'm technically trapped.

Any advice to make the time pass or keep me from thinking about the depression that's taken over my life one too many times?
