From my study of psychology, I would suggest you quit smoking pot first and then when you're over that addiction, try tackling the cigarettes. It's just too hard to deny yourself two things at the same time. Humans have a finite amount of self- control.
It also helps to reward yourself with other things while abstaining. Think about how a 3-year-old reacts if you try to take away a toy. They will cry, scream, and hold onto it with superhuman strength. But, if you offer them a new toy, they will happily drop the first one.
Just because we've grown up and learned to control our emotional outbursts doesn't mean we aren't still that screaming toddler on the inside. We get cranky when our toys are taken away.
So, go find yourself a new toy!
Best of luck to you.

With all the drug testing going on in the working world, it may improve my chances of getting a decent-paying job. Why can't I get off there two substances? If the pot is not available, I'm not looking for it but my cigarettes are a MUST have substance for me.
