Hi Dinah,
WOW - I'm impressed that your son has done WHEEL work!!!! I took ages to be able to learn to 'centre' the clay on the wheel!!! Finally one of the potters took me to her house & sat me in front of her wheel & put a blindfold over my eyes. It worked!!! LOL
Good idea to try some small projects first.
Good to be careful about the mold. Being exposed to mold isn't the greatest for us.
It'd be lovely to see some of the things you make.
