Hiya sid,
> sleeping during the day though is one of my favorite ways to avoid things.
Me, too. I love naps. But some are more 'legit' - the "I AM tired" kind, and some are avoidance naps where I really didn't "need" the sleep but did it anyway. Not my favorite habit, but I am going through a bout of weird insomnia that acts a different way all the time, sometimes can't fall asleep, sometimes wake at 4 am for no reason, etc. So I figure I ought to give myself a break because if I'm not sleeping at night, though I'm trying to have good sleep hygiene and all that stuff, well, guess my body is *really* tired during the day.
> so night sleep=good
> day sleep=badWhy so hard on yourself? Maybe night sleep=best and healthiest, day sleep=naps okay sometimes [in moderation]
I am saying that to you - hate to see anyone call something as natural as sleep "bad" - but I am saying to to me, too. I'm glad you're trying to get more sleep at night. Sounds like you have had some insomnia issues? Or anxiety at night - I *hate* that when I am supposed to be relaxing... Me - I have a silly, inexplicable tendency to stay up till 2 or 3 am, usually messing around online or watching mindless TV, even if I am tired, then you can imagine the vicious cycle that starts the next day....
I sure am great at sabotaging myself. But we're not bad......right????
just my ramblings....
