I've mentioned this on Babble before, but when my shrink wanted me to try Seroquel, I said well the ativan works just fine for me, and I don't see the need to try something new.
She said "Well.. the long term effects of benzodizepines, aren't good, they cause memory loss, lethargy.."
I said "Seroquel has been out for two years?"
"About that" She saidWell, then how do you know that the long term effects of Seroquel aren't going to be worse?
She at *least* admitted I had a point, I'll give her that, but geez it was hardly a genius question I asked, I'd kind of like to think my Doctor could think that one out on her own..
Or perhaps she had thought it out, and had "other reasons"
