Well, they are 'musicians'...they have their own language. ;-) Really, though, I have no problem with the occasional use of "colourful" language. One of my fav types of books is rock-star/musician biographies/autobiographies, and I was a bit shocked to see how many came from very bad backgrounds. Guys like Iggy Pop and Ozzy Osbourne come to mind. My 70 year old Mom, who is really quite conservative, use to watch The Osbournes, and get a laugh out of Ozzy. I'd be sitting down with her and some tea, and she would give me a synopsis of the last Ozzy show. hahaa. Even my 90 year old Grandmother knew who Ozzy was, from the tv show..lol.
What really offends me is the amount of pure violence that is allowed to be shown on tv. Sex and swearing I think are quite innocent compared to the horrific effects of violence. But, Canadians are sort-of like Europeans, in that we find sex and swearing to be a non-issue. I was in Denmark visiting relatives, and the government had a sign up about the drug Ecstacy. It was huge, and on it where the words "F*CK ECSTACY"..and I laughed and took a picture. (Unfortunately my camera got stolen on the train going through the Chunnel from France to England.)
Just IMHO..
